Health Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Educator to join our team at South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium. As a Health Educator, you will play a critical role in promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles among our community members.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health education programs and interventions that address injury prevention and chronic disease risk factors.
- Collaborate with existing Health Promotion and community programs to provide evidence-based and promising prevention interventions.
- Communicate and advocate for health and health policies in the local community.
- Provide monthly reports and conduct evaluation activities as requested.
- Provide biometric screening and patient coaching as required by grant funding.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Public Health, School Health, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- Four years of progressively responsible, relevant, health promotion or related experience (paid or volunteer) if no degree; one year if degreed.
- Knowledge of health education strategies, interventions, and programs that are culturally sensitive and evidence-based.
- Public health communication theories that foster change ranging from individual to population levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
