About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our Distribution Center team. As an Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing and directing the distribution center to ensure merchandise moves smoothly through the facility to its final destination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Area Managers and oversee various areas such as Inbound Operations, Put to Light, Ticketing, Quality Verification/Quality Control, and Outbound Operations.
  • Ensure all DC operations run efficiently, facilitating the receipt, processing, storage, packing, and shipping of merchandise.
  • Develop and implement systems that seamlessly adjust to the dynamic demands of our distribution center operations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse management systems to synchronize inventory receipt and processing.
  • Implement cost management strategies to reduce accidents and costs.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-friendly atmosphere within the warehouse.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Area Managers and associates.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure maximum store service and efficiency.
  • Uphold Burlington's safety policies and reduce accidents and costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
  • Understanding of supply chain, distribution, warehouse, transportation, and inventory.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with WMS, distribution technology, and distribution equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a plus.
