As a Welding Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in maximizing value for customers through advanced technologies and regional distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manpower schedules to ensure efficient production and meet departmental milestones and deadlines.
  • Supervise hourly workforce to ensure adherence to Komatsu policies, procedures, 5S, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the quality of work to AWS D1.1 welding standards and Komatsu weld standards.
  • Coordinate internal collaboration with other departments to meet customer commitments in a timely manner.
  • Establish weld repair and fabrication work scopes and provide formal quotes for regional customer base.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience in related field (AWS D1.1 welding, heavy fabrication, and repairs to large mining equipment).
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, machining drawings, and Komatsu operating procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Execute to departmental monthly budget and financial requirements.
  • Proficient in a customer-facing role.
