The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our software platform. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in optimizing patient outcomes for our clients by collaborating closely with our clinical care, engineering, product, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to questions from providers, internal and external users, client success, and leadership as the platform subject matter expert
  • Triage bugs for urgency and priority
  • Improve clinical algorithms, protocols, and guidelines and ensure formulary alliance when applicable
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats to help interpret clinical issues to multiple stakeholders
  • Develop intervention strategies to optimize medication utilization, achieve quality measures, and other established goals
  • Orient new platform users and customers to the Arine Platform
  • Assist in preparation of customer demonstrations and test new clinical content within the Arine Platform
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college/university
  • Licensed by a Board of Pharmacy and in good standing
  • Completion of a PGY-1 residency, or equivalent experience
  • Board certified in a relevant area
  • Ability to review and assess the appropriateness of prescriptions with respect to age and disease-state specific considerations
  • Knowledge of chronic disease states, such as diabetes, heart failure, COPD, asthma, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, HIV, ESRD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, and thought disorders
  • Has knowledge of influence of patient's age, sex, concomitant disease states, concurrent drug therapy, foods and diagnostic procedures on drug activity and disposition
  • Has knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
  • Understanding and experience implementing CMS, PQA, HEDIS measures including but not limited to MTM, Part D Adherence, Statin starts (SUPD/SPC)
  • Has knowledge of prescription and non-prescription drugs and their indications, efficacy, dosage, mechanisms of action, major contraindications and potential side effects
  • Willingness to be taught/learn new skills
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, with no restrictions for keyboarding
  • Ability to organize and set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and internal team
  • Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions in order to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and foster effective working relationships and build consensus

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $135,000-140,000/year.
