Job DescriptionThe Mental Health Worker (MHW) role involves supporting our medical staffing projects in New Hampshire. As an MHW, you will work with patients who require mental health support, assisting with admission procedures, searching for contraband, and orienting patients to the unit/hospital environment.
You will also be responsible for identifying and recording patient valuables, completing documentation requirements, and communicating any significant changes in patient status to medical staff. Additionally, you will supervise and support patients as necessary, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in admission procedures
- Searching for contraband
- Orienting patients to the unit/hospital environment
- Identifying and recording patient valuables
- Completing documentation requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You must also demonstrate responsibility and accountability for professional practice, and be able to work effectively and efficiently within a team.
Physical demands of the job include walking, standing, bending, or sitting for extended periods, reaching to retrieve documents or supplies, and carrying materials up to 15 pounds on an infrequent basis.
BenefitsAs a full-time employee, you will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. You will also receive a competitive salary of $63,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
Additional benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off, and an annual bonus. International SOS complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
