Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Management Analyst to join our team in support of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). This role is essential in assisting the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE) in achieving its objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and documentation of action items from various meetings.
- Provide administrative support to the OSPR Office Director, ensuring all operational requirements are met.
- Assist in tracking and managing human resource, security, and financial actions.
- Review and edit all correspondence for clarity and grammatical accuracy.
- Conduct assessments and analyses of policy options related to:
- National health security
- CBRN health threats
- Medical countermeasure development and utilization
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Climate change adaptation and health equity
- Public health threats and emergencies
- Support the implementation of the National Biodefense Strategy objectives.
- Facilitate interdepartmental clearance of high-level policy documents, including managing reviews and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Assist in the development of congressional testimony and briefing materials.
- Prepare comprehensive meeting summaries, including those for subject matter experts and senior program managers.
- Conduct studies on health-related emergency preparedness and response issues.
- Manage interagency tracking of policies and activities, ensuring proper records management.
- Compile resources and create user-friendly web-based compendiums.
- Support federal advisory committee operations through literature reviews and meeting preparations.
- Contribute to writing and editing various materials, including white papers and policy reports.
- Assist with additional managerial, scientific, or administrative tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mass communications, health communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least four years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and advocacy groups.
- Experience in preparing public health outreach materials in accessible language.
- Proficiency in developing stakeholder communication plans and assessing outreach effectiveness.
- Experience supporting public health projects for government agencies.
- Ability to maintain Public Trust Clearance.
