The Director of Pharmacy Services will be accountable for optimizing medication therapy outcomes by implementing clinical practice programs and integrating them into a patient-centered care model across the organization. This role involves the coordination of resources to continuously evaluate the appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness of medication therapies, providing guidance, information, and education to enhance the quality of pharmacotherapy for patients.
This position will also oversee pharmacy education and training programs, research initiatives, and drug information management. The Director will organize and facilitate meetings for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees within the health system, ensuring effective communication and documentation.
Additionally, the Director will supervise and assess the performance of Clinical Pharmacy Managers across various campuses, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and best practices.
QualificationsA PharmD degree is required, along with 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in pharmacy practice or completion of a Pharmacy Residency. The ideal candidate will maintain professional competence through ongoing education and review of relevant literature, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
Strong leadership and motivational skills are essential, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
