Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

At Maine Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic services using ultrasound technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing as needed
  • Develop and implement protocols for ultrasound procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient care and education
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques
Requirements:
  • Post-high school education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • OB/Gyn credentialed by the ARDMS
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment and procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain active registry status with the ARDMS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Nuchal translucency certification
  • Fetal Echocardiography credentialed by the ARDMS
  • Trophon certification
  • Experience with Epic software and AS software
