As an Educational Assistant for Students with Special Needs, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of educational services to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Positive Behavioral Support Plans (PBSPs) within our RISE/Day Treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Special Education Teachers in implementing IEPs and PBSPs to ensure students receive a comprehensive and supportive educational experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including academic, behavioral, and social support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with special needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in special education or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a public school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
