Description

Moses Lake Community Health Services is seeking to enhance its Pharmacy department by bringing on board a Clinical Pharmacist. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with legal standards in the dispensing of medications, overseeing inventory management, and offering expert consultation to healthcare providers, nursing staff, and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the service standards of Moses Lake Community Health Services for both patients and colleagues.
  • Adhere to the legal and professional guidelines governing pharmacy practice.
  • Execute all necessary functions related to the dispensing of medications.
  • Ensure that medications are ordered, stored, and dispensed in accordance with Washington State regulations.
  • Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers and nursing personnel.
  • Guarantee that patients receive clear instructions regarding dosage, frequency of administration, and potential side effects of prescribed medications, with translations provided for non-English speaking patients.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, ensuring all relevant information is documented and stored in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as clinic protocols.
  • Review patient records to identify any contraindications in prescribed medications, alerting providers to any issues detected.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Washington State Pharmacy License.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Washington State pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Commitment to staying updated on pharmaceuticals and industry advancements.
  • Ability to work autonomously and devise solutions to challenges.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify errors.
  • Proficient in using computers, calculators, and standard office equipment.
  • Capable of utilizing clerical and numerical skills to prepare documents from raw data.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and patients.
