Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Cardiology

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology team at WellSpan Medical Group in Lancaster, PA.

Job Summary:

The LPN will provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain patient history and gather information to provide accurate and effective care.
  • Perform specialized procedures, examinations, and tests as ordered and aligned with the Ambulatory Clinical Scope Document.
  • Ensure all patient care areas are adequately stocked with unexpired supplies and medications.
  • Relay information and facilitate communication between the provider and the patient concerning patient care.
  • Evaluate patient's/caller's health status based upon presenting symptoms and follows defined protocols.
  • Tracks, reviews, and monitors the follow-up of diagnostic test results to ensure the physician/APP have verified results and patient has been notified.
  • Provides related education, counseling, ongoing review, and monitoring regarding diagnostic tests under the collaboration of the Physician/APP.
  • Assists in the management of patient care between visits.
  • Completes necessary paperwork, prior authorizations, and/or scheduling of appointments for patients who are ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services.
  • Maintains patient records to ensure accurate documentation of the patient's medical treatment.
Requirements:
  • Diploma Program Certificate of completion (degree or diploma) from an accredited LPN program.
  • 1 year Clinical nursing experience.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Required.
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
