Spacesaver is seeking a dedicated Material Coordinator for the 2nd Shift

The starting compensation for this role is $20.50 per hour, with an additional $3 shift premium for 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receipt of incoming materials, facilitate the movement of materials within the facility, and prepare finished products for dispatch.
  • Ensure timely and precise movement of materials, maintain accurate data reporting, and complete inventory transactions using the ERP system.
  • Safely and proficiently operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

Work Schedule:

  • Four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 2pm-12am
  • Mandatory overtime on Fridays
  • Occasional mandatory overtime on alternate Saturdays as required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully execute the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals with disabilities in performing these functions.
  • While executing the responsibilities of this role, the team member is regularly required to stand for a minimum of 8 hours on a concrete production floor. Frequent use of arms to reach and hands to handle or feel is necessary. The team member must be able to repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Team members are also required to frequently communicate verbally and audibly. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role may be exposed to seasonal temperature and humidity variations.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory
  • 1-3 years of experience operating a forklift and overhead crane
  • Proficient PC skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is advantageous
  • Ability to perform weight counts and steel weight conversions of materials
  • Capability to read tape measures and efficiently use all other necessary measuring tools
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Capacity to multi-task and meet deadlines
