Ultrasound Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team at Stamford Health. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations for a variety of patient populations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and under the direction of a radiologist.
- Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdomen/visceral, breast, small parts, vascular, gynecological, obstetric, and neonatal.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient examinations and procedures.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound training program or equivalent training program as specified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certification by the Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) is preferred.
- Knowledge or understanding of RIS and PACS computer systems is preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
