Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective communication with the plant manager regarding all pertinent information.
  • Execute laser operations while adhering to established protocols.
  • Set up and operate Mazak laser machinery efficiently.
  • Utilize steel gauges to confirm the thickness of materials for specific production tasks.
  • Load appropriate materials and manage the unloading of lasered components.
  • Interpret and follow detailed instructions, schedules, documents, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Employ precision instruments to verify tolerances and ensure the quality of lasered products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently troubleshoot minor programming issues.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with Mazak laser operations.
  • Proficient in using and interpreting measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Experience in downloading and modifying laser programs to enhance performance and yield.
  • Solid understanding of metal fabrication principles and processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Capable of following both written and verbal instructions to complete tasks and projects.
  • Understanding of machine setup, including program retrieval, nozzle selection, gas requirements, and operational procedures for laser machinery.

Compensation:
Starting pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.
