Ophthalmic Scribe Specialist

The Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Coordinator to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Scribe, you will play a vital role in increasing the efficiency and productivity of our physicians in the clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and thoroughly document ophthalmic exams and procedures as they are being performed by the physician.
- List all appropriate diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the physician.
- Provide patients and/or family members with instructions for self-care and follow-up as directed by the physician.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
Requirements:
- High school graduate, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician is preferred.
- Previous experience with electronic medical records preferred.

- Starting wage of $17 - $20 per hour based on previous experience.
