Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Job Summary:

The Electrophysiology Technician will be responsible for assisting in the performance of electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablations and pacemaker implantations. You will work closely with our team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of electrophysiology procedures
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures
  • Assist in the insertion and removal of catheters and other medical devices
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in electrophysiology technology or a related field
  • Current certification as an Electrophysiology Technician (EP-T) or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrophysiology or a related field
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
