Job Description

At Harper Limbach LLC, we are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our MEP services team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues with building systems, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify system issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Inspect structures and locate key serviceable items to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
  • Keep detailed records of assignments and produce accurate work reports to ensure timely billing.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to develop solutions to their concerns and issues.
  • Upsell ongoing maintenance contracts to non-contract customers, when appropriate.
  • Direct apprentices in repairs and coach them in quality, safe, and effective execution of required work.
  • Service, repair, adjust, and test mechanical devices and equipment.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify errors, safety hazards, or other issues, and develop solutions or escalate them appropriately.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of MEP service experience in industrial, commercial, and/or building HVAC preventive maintenance.
  • Universal EPA Certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft and Google products.
  • Ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers in a way they can understand.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Must be fluent and able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 75% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
Work Environment:

This position operates primarily in the field, responding to customer calls for service on MEP systems. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.
