Delivering Excellent Guest Service

To excel as a Deli Manager at Lowes Foods, you will gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to supervise and maintain high standards in guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations. Your role is crucial in achieving maximum sales, ensuring the quality of products meets our standards, and maintaining sanitation and safety throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from deli department staff.
    Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department.
    Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies.
    Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
    Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
    Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
    Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure satisfactory performance standards are met by deli department hosts.
    Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
    Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
    Perform PA announcements and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a friendly, outgoing personality and be able to work well with others. You should also be able to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally. Additionally, you need to be able to read and understand information and direction. Prior knowledge of deli operations and supervisory experience are highly desirable. Furthermore, you must demonstrate ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills are essential for success in this position. Finally, you must be at least 18 years old and able to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
