Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate a selection of commercial loans from financial institutions to confirm adherence to credit standards and compliance with established policies and regulations.
- Assess credit risks associated with commercial loans and mortgages, ensuring accurate risk grading.
- Examine documentation related to loan origination, renewals, collateral, insurance, and flood certifications.
- Ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the application process.
- Document findings and any discrepancies for discussion with clients.
- Conduct operations in line with banking policies, procedures, and all applicable laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Utilize your expertise and research capabilities to navigate complex transactions, balancing the interests of clients and the financial institution.
- Apply lending and credit policies, as well as mortgage guidelines, using sound judgment to evaluate applicants' creditworthiness.
- Provide mentorship and support to Consultants, serving as a primary resource for their inquiries.
- Willingness to travel to client sites within the U.S. is required, approximately 10% - 20% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in loan review, credit examination, or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, agricultural lending, real estate development, and construction lending, along with the necessary collateral documentation.
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory policies and financial risk management practices.
- Familiarity with current financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate any weaknesses in loan administration or other critical issues to management.
