Senior Treasury Consultant

As a Senior Treasury Consultant at BMO Financial Group, you will play a key role in leading a team of Treasury Consultants and driving individual sales responsibilities. Your primary objective will be to achieve sales and other targets established by business plans, while continuously assessing and improving work processes for sales and service management, risk management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and execute business development plans to achieve business goals
- Deliver reliable activities in instituting cross-selling initiatives to clients across all areas of the firm and transitioning them into sales
- Provide deal structuring expertise and additional expertise as knowledge base and needs dictate
- Identify issues, gaps, and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks
- Collaborate to generate ideas, identify client solutions, pursue sector marketing efforts, cover clients, and deliver timely solutions
- Provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor
- Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group
- Act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies
- Develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected return on investment
- Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements, and develop a roadmap for strategic execution
- Advise on sales strategy based on a deep understanding of the market, relevant industry verticals, market competitors, client needs, and business growth opportunities
- May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices
- Coordinate the management of databases; ensure alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards
- Lead change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives
- Manage the risk of the assigned complex portfolio in a timely and precise manner
- Directly manage the annual review process, interim reviews, specified quarterly reports, and resolution of exceptions
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to prescribed policies and procedures and overall safety of the Bank's position
- Lead the execution of operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution
- Act as the daily sales contact for the client for sales-related questions such as product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, and requirements
- Act as the key sales contact with the client to gather the required detailed information necessary to move the sale forward in the process, including completing all necessary documentation
- Provide assistance to the team in pre-sales such as pitch preparation and client research and preparation of prospect and client files for action by the Sales Professional Planning
- Track implementation requests to keep the process on track with timelines, ensure accurate billing to clients
- Track Internal reports and recommend improvements to sales support materials based on findings and feedback
- Compile pre-call and post-call information packages by accessing internal systems and bank personnel to validate client holdings, pricing, and volumes
- Provide research and data gathering to sales teams to facilitate solutions to clients/prospects' business and needs
- Assist with sales and service administration and processing, ensuring client experience is seamless and opportunities are identified and met
- Maintain current client information on Bank systems/files to ensure client history is accurate and complete
- Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine
- Implement changes in response to shifting trends
- Broaden work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge

$100,000.00 - $185,500.00
Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked.
For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
