POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals according to specified dietary requirements, community protocols, and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining the standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must have a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles. Compliance with state-specific food handler training is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours as per the job requirements.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not essential.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Available positions: Full-Time and Part-Time
