Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome patients, clients, and visitors as they enter the facility.
- Professionally handle phone inquiries and provide timely responses.
- Organize and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Collect necessary patient and insurance details.
- Accurately verify and input patient demographics into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring completeness.
- Confirm vision and medical insurance details and update the EMR accordingly.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of various insurance plans and effectively communicate this information to patients.
- Review schedules to verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure documentation is thorough.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, ensuring all charges are accurately billed and filed.
- Print and organize forms required for patient visits.
- Collect and record all charges, co-pays, and payments in the EMR system.
- Allocate balances to insurance providers as necessary.
- Uphold a tidy and organized workspace.
- Utilize time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
