Electronic Systems Specialist

As a Signal Support Systems Specialist with the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of information within military units. Your primary responsibility will be to integrate signal systems and networks, perform signal support functions, and conduct unit-level maintenance on authorized signal equipment.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining radio and data distribution systems
  • Performing signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
  • Providing technical assistance and training for local area networks
  • Maintenance for equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with companies that produce communications and electronic equipment. Additional study and two years of electronics experience will also qualify you for certification as an Associate Certified Electronics Technician.

As a member of the Army National Guard, you will have access to paid training, a monthly paycheck, and opportunities for advancement. You will also be eligible for tuition assistance, retirement benefits, and other perks.

To be eligible for this role, you must be at least 17 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet the physical and moral standards of the Army National Guard.
