We are seeking a highly skilled Multimodal Planning Specialist to join our team at Hillsborough County. As a key member of our planning department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community through comprehensive planning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of comprehensive plans, studies, and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and provide essential documentation for multi-modal projects.
- Assist in updating the comprehensive plan and community plan, as well as implementing infrastructure and transportation planning projects.
- Develop and present data-driven recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Work effectively with advisory committees and various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with laws and regulations governing comprehensive planning.
- Master's Degree in Urban or Community Planning, or a related field.
- Two years of experience as a community planner, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and statistical analysis techniques.
This position typically takes place in an office environment, with occasional travel to meetings and project sites.
