We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Safety Coordinator to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. as a key member of our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- Investigate and report on EHS incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are aware of and comply with EHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement EHS-related capital projects to improve safety and reduce risk.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices, providing recommendations for improvement to the EHS team.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related science disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
