Job Summary
The Sales Associate II will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with clients, identifying new sales opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong consultative approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect new business opportunities through cold calling, email marketing, and other means
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales pipeline and account interactions
- Manage a portfolio of wholesale accounts and develop new accounts within an assigned territory
- Develop marketing strategies to increase commercialization of TGU packaged products
- Assist with PR opportunities and trade shows
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with customers
- Gain product knowledge and educate customers on our product line
- Assist customers with their questions and needs
- Perform hands-on duties such as pulling and preparing inventory orders
- Process POS transactions and perform other monetary transactions as needed
- Communicate with sales and account management team on new account developments
- Run daily reports and balance daily closeout
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 years of current sales experience and proven success
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Reliable transportation and a valid state-issued driver's license
- Demonstrated commitment to superior customer service
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong sales presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of nursery products such as plants, trees, compost, mulches, stone, pavers, etc.
- Sales experience in a garden center, nursery, landscape, or farming context
- Experience or education in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Previous experience using CRM systems
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English
Work Environment
The Sales Associate II will work in a fast-paced environment with daily exposure to dust and dirt. Moderate noise typical of an office setting such as computers, printers, phone, and light customer traffic.
