Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver to join our team at Sevita. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Adult Day Program. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct support and care to our participants, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Adult Day Program
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and meal preparation
  • Support participants with developmental goals, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities and events
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless care and support
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, behavior modification, or care coordination
  • Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance and 1 year driving experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
