Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical/mechanical tunnel and bridge systems equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems or failures
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Inspect electrical systems and their components for condition and identify necessary repairs
  • Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications and requirements
  • Participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop
Requirements
  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent
  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License
  • Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment)
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of traffic monitoring and control systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate and perform work in a bucket truck

  • Monitored performance with routine evaluation
