About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Operations Manager to join our team at Bottom Line Equipment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy equipment and specialty attachments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and specialty attachments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Supervise and train heavy equipment technicians and service personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Assist the Service Manager in accident and incident investigations, and provide recommendations for improving safety procedures.
  • Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training to ensure our team has the latest skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the evaluation of work orders to ensure they are accurate and complete, and direct heavy equipment technicians in the diagnosis and repair of equipment.
  • Oversee the functions and personnel within the Wash Rack area to ensure it is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, as well as government safety and regulation requirements.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or other members of the operations team.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and heavy equipment industry as a mechanic or field technician.
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Wynne System and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of frequently used sales and customer relations concepts, practices, and procedures.
