Cashier - Customer Service Representative

Job SummaryWe're seeking a friendly and cooperative Cashier to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating check stand equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using check stand equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and thanking customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Operate check stand equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and scales.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, restocking shelves and supplies as needed.
- Process monetary transactions, including cash, checks, and gift certificates.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and lane accountability.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to learn and memorize a considerable amount of information, including PLU codes and product locations.
- As required by applicable state and local laws, food safety/handlers cards, tobacco and alcohol sales certification.
