Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Create and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children.
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Oversee and train teacher aides, interns, and volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional support to children.
  • Compile Reports and Statistics: Accurately and efficiently compile reports and statistics required by regulatory agencies and funding sources.
  • Participate in Treatment Teams: Engage in regular meetings, trainings, and committees to ensure seamless collaboration and communication among team members.
Requirements
  • NYS Teacher Certification: Possess a valid New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education or be pursuing certification.

  • Valid NYS Driver's License: Possess a valid New York State Driver's License.
