Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team. As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients.
  • Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient under the direction of a physician and/or Registered Nurse.
  • Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.
  • Provide population-specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.
  • Inspect, maintain, and care for equipment to ensure the safety of the transport team, patients, and public.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Education:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Drivers License credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Paramedic credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
