Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee traffic and transportation construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget. With a strong background in handling traffic electrical infrastructure projects, this role requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills to effectively manage project documentation, financial reporting, and subcontractor relationships.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending account, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Partner with safety teams to establish and execute safety programs.
  • Monitor financial performance, including cost monitoring, revenue projections, change order logs, and invoicing.
  • Collaborate with project superintendents to identify equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedules.
  • Manage receiving and yield reports, cost accounting, and communication logs.
  • Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections and weekly quantities reported in ViewPoint.
  • Maintain change order logs and track subcontractor committed costs.
  • Review estimating strategies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning with the project team.
  • Obtain necessary permits or licenses.
  • Review and procure sub-contractor scope and schedule.
  • Document project progress, including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and work plans.
  • Closing out projects, including final documentation, invoicing, and retainage release.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years' industry experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working on traffic electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience with Procore, Build2Win, and/or P6 a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft and time reporting systems.
  • Functional knowledge of job cost accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of CPM scheduling.
