We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Reverse Engineering to join our team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a key member of our Cyber and Electronic Warfare group, you will be responsible for leading reverse engineering efforts into systems of interest and mentoring junior engineers in the reverse engineering and development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead reverse engineering efforts into systems of interest
- Mentor junior engineers in the reverse engineering and development processes
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members
- Architect maintainable solutions to complex problems
- Collaborate with teammates on the development of new ideas
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C++, Java, Python)
- Exposure to basic logic gates and Boolean math (AND, OR)
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
Preferred Requirements:
- Active security clearance
- Experience with modern C++ standards (>= C++17) and STL
- Experience with Python
- Design pattern experience
- Software development process experience (Agile, TDD, etc.)
- Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL
- FPGA design software experience (Quartus, ISE, Vivado, etc.)
- Software reverse engineering experience (IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.)
- Source control system experience (git, svn, perforce, etc.)
- Code review process experience
- Binary patching experience
