Youth Mental Health Specialist

The Guidance Center is seeking a skilled Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in a school setting. This part-time role comes with a competitive salary of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will provide group services to at-risk youth, presentations to school staff, parents, and community members on various mental health topics, and coordinate services with mental health and medical professionals. They will also facilitate collateral contacts with representatives from schools and other community organizations, link families with resources available in the community, and assist families in becoming enrolled in additional mental health services through The Guidance Center or another mental health agency.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
- Current licensure in the State of Michigan as a Psychologist (TLLP, LLP, or LP), Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master's Social Worker (LLMSW) supervised by a Licensed Master's Social Worker, or a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families.
