Clinical Pharmacy Director

Job Summary:
The Clinical Pharmacy Director will oversee all functions related to the delivery of pharmacy services, developing, recommending, and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures. This role ensures pharmacy operations are compliant with hospital policies, state and federal laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Develop, recommend, and implement pharmacy policies and procedures
- Ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state and federal laws and regulations
- Lead and direct the work of others, providing training and guidance to personnel
- Maintain contact with other department needs, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, and promote effective drug therapy
- Develop staff in a mentoring and coaching way, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Pharmacy required
- Master of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D preferred
- At least three (3) years of experience in discipline required
- Ten years of experience in discipline preferred
- Knowledge of principals related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices
- Licensed Pharmacist listed by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Two years' experience as a pharmacist
- Minimum one year management experience
