We are seeking dynamic and engaging individuals to join our team as Community Education Summer Camp Instructors. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in our community.

About the Role

As a Community Education Summer Camp Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching week-long summer camps to students ages 5-14. Our camps provide hands-on experience in specialized fields such as science, engineering, technology, chemistry, math, language arts & literature, computer science, career exploration, visual arts, performing arts, culinary, and sports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging camp curriculum and lesson plans based on your specialized field of expertise.
  • Lead age-appropriate activities for children in your camp, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, assistants, campers, and parents, addressing any issues that may arise and reporting safety and health concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, behavior, and progress.
  • Collaborate with an assigned assistant to provide a welcoming camp experience for all children.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced studies or experience in the specialized field of camp is preferred.
  • Experience working with children and basic computer skills are essential.
  • Punctual, responsible, and trustworthy with confidential information.
  • Ability to handle behavioral issues when they arise.

Estimated Salary Range: $375-$750 per half-day camp, depending on education and experience.
