Customer Experience Director

We're a dynamic and passionate team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth. As a key member of our retail team, the Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in promoting a customer-focused sales culture and driving business success.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving business growth, optimizing store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This position is responsible for analyzing sales reports, identifying business needs, and developing effective strategies to drive sales growth while maintaining operational efficiency and control costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify business needs and develop effective strategies to drive sales growth
* Establish clear expectations and hold store teams accountable for achieving brand standards
* Manage payroll and supply budgets while controlling costs
* Perform operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, and merchandise flow processes
* Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures
* Administer inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment, and execution of physical inventories
* Develop a high-performance culture by motivating sales teams to meet sales and productivity goals
Leadership Qualities:
* Motivate and inspire store teams to achieve shared vision and core values
* Promote inclusive and collaborative problem-solving approaches
* Communicate effectively with store teams and Store Managers to lead positive change
* Seek personal development opportunities and solicit feedback to build leadership skills
Customer Experience:
* Model, teach, and promote MAPS principles and standards for a cohesive omni-channel experience
* Utilize various sales techniques and communicate product knowledge to customers
* Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and provide exceptional service
Talent Development:
* Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing high-performing teams
* Implement and follow-up on training programs and seminars
* Assess and coach store teams on performance
* Resolve human resources issues in a timely and effective manner
Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of retail management experience preferred
* Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
* Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
* Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in sales and leadership
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills
* Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
Physical Requirements:
* Constant walking/standing: 67-100% of 8-hour shift
* Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.: 1-33% of 8-hour shift
* Frequent climbing: 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
