Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to provide direct nursing care to patients in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews, to develop personalized care plans.
- Administer Medications: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to established protocols.
- Manage Wounds and Injuries: Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Document Patient Records: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, recording changes in condition, administered treatments, and medication management.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices to promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Address Patient Comfort and Safety: Prioritize patient comfort and safety, addressing positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management needs.
- Respond to Medical Emergencies: Swiftly respond to medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
- Adhere to Infection Control: Rigorously follow infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and PPE utilization, to prevent infections.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
- Foster Health and Wellness: Promote preventive care measures, such as vaccinations and screenings, and aid with health assessments.
- Advocate for Patients: Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.
- Stay Current with Nursing Best Practices: Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements.
