Job Overview

Position Summary

Select Choice Transportation Inc. is dedicated to delivering superior medical transportation services. We are currently seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide exceptional care and support to patients requiring non-emergency medical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to non-emergency medical requests and deliver essential life support to patients.
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments to determine the appropriate treatment pathway.
  • Collect and maintain patient medical histories while ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient rights.
  • Document patient interactions and care provided accurately and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to relay patient status during transfers and handoffs.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring a safe and organized environment for patient care.
  • Drive emergency vehicles with care and efficiency to reach patients in need.
  • Exhibit professionalism and a high standard of customer service at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), paramedic, or in a related medical field.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) utilized in both emergency and non-emergency scenarios.

Essential Skills:

  • Valid EMT certification/license in Georgia.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual.
  • Physical endurance to fulfill job responsibilities, including patient lifting.

Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Expected Hours: 20 – 40 hours per week
