Job Description:

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for delivering tax advisory and compliance services to clients, working closely with our team of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies.
  • Participate in tax research projects on various tax issues, help draft IRS responses, and address other tax authority inquiries.
  • Team with leaders on special projects in various areas of corporate and flow-through taxation, such as accounting methods and ASC 740.
  • Develop recommendations for clients to consider and share with leadership to discuss and strategize.
  • Communicate and team with specialty tax practices on complicated tax matters in state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, and credits and incentives areas.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law, or a related degree in business, with sufficient coursework and credits to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being considered.
  • Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Relevant internship, work experience, and/or involvement with a professional organization.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
