Overview
The J.R. Simplot Company, a leading agriculture and food processing organization, seeks an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join its IT team in Boise, Idaho. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the reliability and security of our global infrastructure.

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled professional to manage and administer Windows-based systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Intune, SCCM, and Group Policy. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Microsoft Security products (Defender) and be proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows server operating systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • • Manage and administer Windows-based servers and systems.
    • Install, configure, and maintain Windows server operating systems and applications.
    • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    • Implement security measures to safeguard systems against unauthorized access and data breaches.
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.
    • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university, preferably in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Windows Server administration, with strong skills in security and management at scale, is required. Solid scripting skills and disciplined version control, build, test, and release skills are essential. Additionally, the ability to teach and mentor, excellent communication and business engagement skills, and a collaborative team focus are highly valued.
