Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Coordinator Engineer to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing support for the safe operation of our pipeline facilities through engineering evaluation and communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for the safe operation of pipeline facilities through design review, stress calculations, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Review and evaluate project plans for proposed development, roadway, railroad, dredging, and construction activities in proximity to our pipeline rights-of-way.
  • Determine the constructability of proposed plans and their impact on our pipeline facilities.
  • Ensure proposed development and construction are designed and constructed in accordance with our Encroachment Evaluation Specifications and Regulatory Agency requirements.
  • Perform pipeline stress analysis associated with encroachments, including heavy equipment crossings, roadway, and railroad crossings over existing pipeline.
  • Provide written recommendations, design modification guidance, and stipulations to Encroachment Agreements or Letters of No Objection issued to encroaching entities.
  • Review proposed seismic survey operations, blasting operations, and construction-induced vibrations activities near or within our pipeline rights-of-way for compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Internal coordination with various departments, including Land, Operations, Field Engineering Projects, Asset Integrity, and EHS&T.
  • Interface with private and governmental agencies, third-party owners, developers, contractors, and engineers to define project parameters and proposal scenarios.
  • Attend industry, federal, state, city, and county meetings as required to coordinate work and provide information.
Requirements
  • BS in engineering (Civil or Mechanical engineering).
  • 1-3+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry related to pipeline construction, development, and planning, and/or utility coordination.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to concisely communicate technical information.
  • Ability to comprehend and mark-up construction drawings, especially roadway, railroad, and housing development plans.
  • Familiarity with GIS, Google Maps, and Blue Beam software.
