Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document both objective and subjective patient data and observations.
  • Contribute health information to nursing assessments and communicate all findings to the RN or authorized healthcare provider.
  • Execute the nursing care plan under the direction of the RN or as authorized by the healthcare provider.
  • Record and communicate the patient's responses to the nursing care plan, including monitoring for adverse reactions to treatments.
  • Assist in the modification of the nursing care plan as necessary.
  • Provide education and information to patients and their families.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development within the nursing field.
  • Participate positively in the orientation of new staff members, sharing knowledge and experiences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Work Complexity:

  • Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and responding appropriately.

Experience:

  • One year of experience in patient care is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires full-body mobility to assist and lift patients, along with manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Involves extensive standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • Requires normal vision and hearing capabilities.
  • Must be able to work under stress and during irregular hours.
  • May involve exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
