Position Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Ambulatory Care setting, you will be integral to our Family Medicine & Pediatrics team. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering and documenting both objective and subjective patient data.
- Contributing valuable observations and health information to the nursing assessment, ensuring effective communication with the registered nurse or authorized healthcare provider.
- Executing the established nursing care plan under the guidance of the registered nurse or authorized healthcare provider.
- Recording and communicating patient responses to the nursing care plan, including monitoring for any adverse reactions to treatments.
- Assisting in the ongoing development of the nursing care plan.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Engaging in professional development to enhance nursing skills.
- Participating in the orientation of new staff members, sharing knowledge and providing mentorship.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Possession of a current Ohio LPN license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Strong critical thinking abilities and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
- Prior experience in patient care is preferred.
- Ability to perform full body movements to assist and lift patients.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are essential.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is a possibility.
