Job Summary:

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is tasked with the thorough cleaning and maintenance of utensils, small kitchen equipment, and various kitchenware. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing different types of kitchen items, performing handwashing duties, operating the dishwasher, and ensuring proper drying of all items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrape, rinse, and load utensils into the dishwashing machine as well as perform handwashing in a three-compartment sink.
• Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes to maintain hygiene standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and ensure the proper functioning of the dishwashing machine.
• Understand and safely handle all cleaning chemicals used in the process.
• Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them appropriately.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area within the kitchen.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Acquire knowledge on the proper use of the dishwashing machine and the types of items that can be washed in it.

Education Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required:

None

Experience Preferred:

1 year of experience in commercial or operational dishwashing

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Strong organizational skills and active listening abilities.
