PRIMARY DUTIES:
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to conduct preventive maintenance on all machinery, components, and equipment. This includes:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
- Conducting visual inspections and listening to machinery to identify malfunctions.
- Diagnosing issues through discussions with supervisors and fellow maintenance staff.
- Efficiently scheduling tasks to minimize disruptions and enhance operational efficiency.
- Dismantling defective machinery and replacing or repairing parts.
- Cleaning and lubricating various machine components.
- Monitoring machinery for wear and defects on a daily basis.
- Assembling and maintaining piping systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
- Operating machine tools to fabricate or repair parts and tools.
- Utilizing welding equipment for metal joining tasks.
- Providing training and support to other team members as necessary.
- Adhering to safety policies and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work environment in accordance with our 5S system.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other tasks may include:
- Managing inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Assisting with the upkeep of various machinery and equipment.
- Collaborating with operators to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the maintenance shop.
- Tracking and ordering necessary parts and materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: An Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or one year of relevant manufacturing experience, or a combination of education and experience is required. Basic computer skills are necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in reading and understanding documents, as well as clear communication in English, is essential.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform calculations related to proportions, area, and volume is required.
CERTIFICATIONS: Certification as a Forklift Operator is mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The role requires regular walking, standing, and lifting of weights between 25 to 75 pounds. The ability to perform these tasks for extended periods is necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position involves exposure to a noisy and dusty atmosphere, necessitating the use of safety equipment. The work environment is representative of those encountered in this role.
