About the Role

At Active Steps, we are committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in our mission to empower individuals with ASD to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ABA Therapy: Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in various settings, including homes, schools, and our centers, to support individuals with ASD in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with Behavior Analysts: Work closely with Behavior Analysts to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Monitor Progress and Document Outcomes: Regularly monitor client behavior, document progress, and maintain a supportive environment that fosters skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Be an Integral Part of a Clinical Team: Join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about transforming lives through tailored intervention strategies.
Position Details
  • Location: Oxnard and surrounding areas
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, with Saturday and Sunday availability optional
  • Hours: Commit to a minimum of 20 hours a week, between 3pm and 8pm, with a consistent schedule for at least 6 months at a time
  • Language Preference: Spanish preferred but not required

  • Competitive Hourly Rate: $18.50 to $24 per hour

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required, associate's or bachelor's degree in behavioral health or a related field preferred
  • Training and Certification: Complete BTL1 certification (program and cost covered by the company)
  • Reliability and Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance required
  • Experience and Skills: Relevant experience preferred, commitment to a consistent work schedule for at least 6 months at a time, and ability to sit on the floor and stand for long periods of time
