Patient Care Technician Specialist

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Fresenius Medical Care, you will play a vital part in supporting people who entrust us with their care. You will build deep relationships with patients when they come into our clinic.

Job Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
- Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
- Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
- Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
You will also be responsible for collecting, labeling, and storing lab samples according to required laboratory specifications, and assisting other healthcare members in providing patient education.
Requirements and Qualifications- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required).

Salary and Work EnvironmentThe salary for this position will depend on the successful candidate's work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.
The hourly rate for this position is estimated to be between $20.00 and $24.00 per hour. The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.
