Job Summary

This Clinical Dietitian position is responsible for providing overall nutrition care to patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met, and documenting their nutritional status accurately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical nutrition and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and review Clinical Nutrition functions of the Nutrition Services Department, including Medical Nutrition Therapy, patient menus, and nutrition analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide uniformed approaches to patient care.
  • Conduct patient nutrition assessments, develop and implement nutrition intervention plans, and provide education to patients and families.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Clinical Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Successful completion of a dietetic internship.
  • Registration at the time of employment by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or within six months from date of hire.
  • Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians at the time of employment or within one year from date of hire.
